One of the most reliable methods of idea generation is to be a bit mad. Even better, being German and mad is a virtual guarantee of success. When I say 'a bit mad', I don't mean in the "mein trousers are made of welded steel" way, but rather in the "mein Doomday Bomb renders der worlds entire stockpile of nuclear bombs obsolete". In other worlds, relatively sane, but in continued need of motherly supervision.
